This is the Martial Tech Requirement Sim Settlements Base Mod Holotape Options: You can turn off the tying of martial plot upgrades to number of industrial plots in the holotape options either on a global or local level. Level 3 - you have to have at least five operational Industrial plots in your settlement.Level 2 - you need to have at least three operational Industrial plots in your settlement.The logic behind this is that as these martial plot structures upgrade to higher levels, they'll start integrating new technology which is represented by your settlement’s industrial capabilities. They also have a unique requirement/dependency and that's that you have to have a certain number of operational Industrial plots in your settlement in order to upgrade them. You've got to have a reasonable happiness level in your settlement.They must have a settler assigned to them.Martial plots have 3 basic requirements to trigger an upgrade in a structure’s level: Like every Sim Settlement plot type, martial plot structures may use more of your settlements resources as they upgrade (food, water, etc.) Each upgrade of a martial plot structure’s level will increase the amount of defense provided to your settlement. Like every other Sim Settlements plot type, structures built at a martial plot will have the ability to upgrade to level 2 and level 3 versions. Available foundations are none, wooden stilts, and concrete.The martial plots come in 1x1 and 2x2 sizes.Even if you can't/don’t upgrade them they'll still have a huge positive impact on your settlement and will give you a reasonable alternative to just spamming turrets. Martial plot structures are designed to provide far more defense than you could get with a vanilla guard post. Each martial plot will act as a job for a single settler and add to the overall defense score of your settlement.
